Our History

Abraka Model Primary & Secondary School was established to provide quality, affordable education to the children of Abraka and its surrounding communities. Since opening its doors, AMPS has grown from a small community school into a trusted institution for both primary and secondary education, guiding generations of pupils from their earliest years of schooling through to their final secondary school examinations.

Today, the school continues to serve families across Abraka, building on the same values of discipline, diligence, and service that shaped it from the beginning.

Our Mission

To provide a safe, disciplined, and nurturing environment in which every pupil can develop academically, morally, and socially — equipping them not only to pass examinations, but to serve their community and country well.

Our Motto: Learning for Service

The school's motto reflects a simple belief: that education is not an end in itself, but a preparation for a life of usefulness to others. Every subject taught and every activity organised at AMPS is guided by this principle — that what our pupils learn here should, in time, serve their families, their community, and their nation.
