Three connected stages, one consistent standard
Pupils build a strong foundation in literacy, numeracy, basic science, and moral instruction, taught by teachers experienced in early education. Class sizes are kept manageable so every child receives attention.
Students study a broad curriculum spanning the sciences, humanities, and introductory vocational subjects, culminating in preparation for the Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE).
Students choose a subject specialisation — Science, Arts, or Commercial — and receive focused preparation for the WAEC and NECO Senior School Certificate Examinations.
Academic study at AMPS is complemented by a range of extracurricular activities, including inter-house sports, debate and quiz clubs, cultural and drama displays, and participation in community service projects — all in keeping with the school's motto of Learning for Service.
The academic year is divided into three terms, in line with the standard Nigerian school calendar. Specific resumption and closing dates for each term are announced on the Notice Board on our homepage and communicated directly to parents.
